Cute Things About Being 2 1/2

Aiston,

You are one hilarious character - and we LOVE it. Here are some really endearing things that make you unique at this stage:

1. You talk in third person - A LOT. (ex: "Aiston still eating!" or "Aiston cleaning now.")

2. You pretend more than any other kid your age that we know. 

3. Your random kisses and hugs are the *sweetest* thing because they don't come all that often.

4. You like anything when put into song. You love to sing, dance and play instruments.

5. Your memory is amazing. (ex. When we pretend to go hiking at home, you still remember our guide's name from our December trip in the mountains.)

6. You love the sound of your own voice and will string an entire sequence of nonsense words together in order to say a two or three word phrase.

7. You are scared of thunder and fireworks. We talk about them constantly.

8. Running is your speciality, but so is falling down. 

9. Reading books is a special time. You know how many we usually read each night and you are always saying, "One mole (more) book. Peas?" You are quite the negotiator already.

10. Observation is your greatest scientific skill and you use it all the time.

Being 2 1/2 has got to be a blast. We are lucky to be able to watch you develop and grow every day. We love you, little man.
