What a wonderful time you had at Lolo's new beach place near Puerto Galera, Mindoro. On New Year's Eve, we packed up yet again and headed to Batangas to take the ferry to meet Lolo at the port in Calapan and to visit his new spread.
The weather was cool and misty, but that didn't stop you from continuing to develop your appreciation of the sand. Sometimes you would sprint down the beach without us to play with the local kids. We may have created a Sand Monster.
Again, you loved throwing rocks and you were obsessed with "driving the big boat!" We played with crabs, learned some new dance moves and played chase. Lolo blew bubbles with you and took you on walks. We cooked communal dinners and enjoyed a relaxing few days.
How awesome is it that we will always have this connection to your home country, Ace? We are so blessed.
