Hi Ace,
Summer vacation has officially ended and you have transitioned rather well from being home with Mommy and Daddy all day, every day, to being with Ate as Mommy and Daddy go to work. You are really enjoying your school and your classmates. Teacher Blessy and Teacher Elaine are super sweet and you are getting good at saying "Bessy." It's so much fun to get your "Sunshine Reports" and learn about what you are interested in at school.
Sometimes, at night, while we're getting ready for bed, you like playing a game of "Boo." You will hide behind your dresser and peek out and shout "Boo!" It is so cute.
Trumpet goes with you everywhere in the house. In fact, you are getting so attached to Trumpet that there have been a few recent occasions where you have had a meltdown because you couldn't take him with you. For example: in the bathpool. We think part of that has to do with the fact that you've been sick for the past week or so. As have Mom and Dad.
Aside from the family sickness, it's been a crazy beginning of the school year made all the more so because we rescued three 2-day old kittens from a sewer drain in our village and because it has rained non-stop for two weeks. And it is still raining. Although we have not been directly affected by the massive amounts of flooding within Manila, many of Mommy and Daddy's co-workers have, and so have teachers at your school. It is a scary time for thousands of people. School was cancelled today and it may be cancelled tomorrow. We have never seen this much rain for this long since we arrived in Manila five years ago. We are very, very lucky to live in a spot that is safe and dry.
Love you for always,
Mom & Dad

I can't wait to play this new game with you...... I'm so happy that you have such a good mommy and daddy that keep you safe and love you so much, just like I do! Miss you my little Aceman.
