Rizal Park

Hi Ace,

This weekend, we took advantage of the ghost town that is Manila during Easter holidays and made record time in getting to Rizal Park, an urban recreational space situated along Manila Bay. It is named after a national hero (Dr. Jose Rizal) of your birth country who sparked the Philippine Revolution against Spanish colonizers in the 1890's. Families gather there for picnics, strolls, games and festivals. Although there are no pictures of the park, here are a few we took of you.

Hanging out with Daddy
Showing off your dance moves
Always one hand up, one hand to the side, pumping up and down
Smiling at a Filipina (there has not been one Filipino you have met who hasn't adored you. You seem to love them right back)
Walking on uneven ground with Dad

Walking with Mommy
Peering into a pot
Sharing a laugh with Mom
Your scrunchy face, which Lolo taught you
Oh, how beautiful you are Aiston...you are growing up so fast!
