Buri for the Weekend

This weekend, we took you on an adventure. We, along with your Aunties Kristy and Mel, drove to Batangas and then rode a ferry across the South China Sea to Mindoro, an island which hosts a few popular beach towns. 

We stayed at Buri Resort and although it took us seven hours to get there, you were a dream. You went with the flow in the car (with Auntie Melissa entertaining you part of the way), at the ferry terminal and on the banca ride. Once we arrived at our destination, you had a blast swimming in the pool, eating your snacks and your meals outside and even walking on the grass! We played the entire afternoon because you were being so fun. Having four adults and one baby made for a relaxing and absolutely wonderful time.

On Sunday, we continued to play in the water and enjoy the fresh air. You took a long nap and a big poo and seemed like such a happy little guy. Our trip back to Manila was a tad scary with a choppy sea to cross, but you actually fell asleep in my arms as we rocked and rolled in the "big boat" (as you now say). 

It was a terrific weekend and you were an absolute angel, crying a total of maybe three minutes the entire trip. I think we've found a new place to frequent in Buri!
