First Day at the "Big School"

Here are some photos of your first day as a student at International School Manila. You couldn't wait to start going to school at the same place that Mommy and Daddy work. After meeting your teacher last year, you looked forward to being in Ms. Randee's class and working with Ms. Jeng and Ms. Tasha, too.

Every day except Wednesday, you wake  up at 6:00 am, eat breakfast, get dressed by yourself, fill your water bottle independently and put your shoes on. We all fold ourselves into the car and drive the 20 minutes it takes to get to ISM. Mommy walks you to your classroom on Mondays and Tuesdays, and Daddy takes you on Thursdays and Fridays. On Wednesdays, At Delia takes you to school with your friend Athena, because it is a late start.

You go to school from 7:30 am to 11:15 am and you love everything that you get to do: go to Music with Ms. Peachy, have fun in PE with Coach Nat, read books at the CMC and create Art with Ms. Liz. After riding the bus home each day, you eat lunch around noon. You are exhausted and usually nap for a couple of hours. Twice a week, you attend ballet class, which you love. Another two times per week, you visit friends. The rest of your time is spent baking with your new Ate Mariz and playing outside. By the time we get home in the evenings, you are full of conversation about your day. Right now, you mostly talk about jellyfish, since that is your class name, and about not sharing with your friends at school. We know this will change. :)

Mommy and Daddy are so thankful that you love school and that you are already learning so much. You can't wait to check your class blog with us every night to read about what has been happening and to watch videos or view pictures of yourself.

We hope school will always be a place that you love going to!
