It's Been A Year

Dear Aiston, our beautiful boy...

Today marks one year since you came home and completed our family. Some days, we think to ourselves: how did we get so lucky?
You entered Mommy's arms red-faced and crying. And now you enter Mommy's arms with the biggest hugs and the squishiest kisses. You weren't sure about Daddy at first, but now you can't wait for him to get home so you can rough-house with him. You love to sit in our laps and read your books. You love to sing and dance. You adore your elephant, Trumpet, and refuse to go to sleep without him. You make us laugh every single day and there are some days when you make us want to pull our hair out with your tantrums and your empathic "NO's!" But, most of the time, you are simply a delight. You laugh often, you talk all the time, you are curious about everything. You eat well, you sleep well and you enjoy trying new things. You are a risk-taker and an observer. You are well-adjusted and happy. But, mostly, you are just plain loved and we couldn't imagine life without you in it.

Aiston - thank you for being you. We love you more than all the "nanum" you could ever eat. Your smile is priceless and our love for you is endless.

Happy YOUnity day, doodlebug. We cherished our evening with you tonight and we are looking forward to our beach getaway this weekend.

Gigantic hugs and bubble kisses,
